13Taking Keys Home Cakes E+W

(1)A MGA is guilty of an Offence if they—

(a)take home any keys to any Ambulance;

(b)take home the only keys to any Ambulance Station / Base;

(c)lock any key for any Ambulance in a locker, safe or other location which is unaccessable to those that require it;

(d)lock the only keys for any Ambulance Station / Base in a locker, safe or other location which is unaccessable to those that require it.

(e)lock the keys within the Ambulance.

(2)An offence under Section 13(1) is aggravated if—

(a)the period of time with said keys exceeds 24 hours,

(b)the lack of keys hinders the use of any vehicle for a pre-booked requirement;

(3)A defence under Section 13(1)(a)(b)(c)(d) only exists if the keys are returned without request within 1 hour from the end of rostered duty.

(4)A defence under Section 13(3) only exists if the keys do not hinder the day-to-day deployment of said Ambulance. If someone's activities are hindered then the defence is void.
