(1)An Officer is guilty of an Offence if—

(a)Any person whom they have lawfully detained subsequently escapes from their custody.

(b)An officer declares 'runners' or similar and after much screaming on the radio loses the subject without exceptional reason to do so.

(2)All offences under Section 16(1) are aggravated.

(3)Where two or more officers lose one or more prisoners, they are jointly liable and are guilty of an aggravated offence that shall be treated as one offence for which each and every officer involved is liable to a joint cakeable fine on the standard scale.

(4)If the detained person remains unlawfully at large, a fine shall be incurred every 30 days until the person unlawfully at large is detained.
