(1)An Officer is guilty of an Offence if they—
(a)are photographed by the media or appear in a motion picture recorded by the media;
(b)appear in any media outlet, digital or otherwise;
(c)any article is written about them and/or an experience they lived;
(d)make any comment in or to any media outlet.
(2)An offence under Section 21(1) is aggravated if—
(a)They appear in any of the low life fake news outlets, including but not limited to—
(i)The Sun;
(ii)The Daily Fail;
(b)it is shown on a front page;
(c)it becomes international news;
(d)it is in motion picture on broadcast television;
(3)A defence under Section 21(1)(b)(c)(d) exists if the comment is simply a reply or post using an authorised Police account.
(4)A defence under Section 21(1) and Section 21(2) exists if the appearance within the media is a result of poor journalism where the 'media outlet' has just copied a news article or social media post without the permission of, or interaction with, the officer.
(5)Section 21(4) can not be overruled by any decision under Section 15 unless authorised by The 'Appointed Person' as defined in Appendix C.
(6)For the purposes of this act, the 'Media' shall be defined as any legitimate and recognisable local, national or international news organisation.
