(1)An Officer is guilty of an Offence if they—

(a)they return from leave of more than three calendar weeks, or three duty sets, whichever is shorter;

(b)they return from leave of any length from any of the following places—

(i)USA;

(ii)Caribbean;

(iii)Hawaii;

(iv)Australia;

(v)New Zealand;

(2)Any offence under Section 8 (1) will be enforced in line with Appendix A of this Act.

(3)If any offence fine is not paid under Section 8 (2) and Appendix A, then a normal fine shall apply; however it will be aggravated as such.

(4)The only defence under this act is if any person within the officer's group returning from leave is in a coffin. Under this, the fine is immediately rescinded.

(a)Section 15 cannot be used in conjunction with Section 8 (4).

(5)This Section will not apply to any Special Constable appointed under (a) section 27(1) of the Police Act 1996; or (b) section 25(1) of the Railways and Transport Safety Act 2003 .
