9Resolved Complaint CakesE+W

(1)An Officer is guilty of an Offence if —

(a)A complaint against them is resolved in a complaint from;

(i)IOPC;

(ii)Professional Standards Department;

(iii)Directorate of Professional Standards in the case of Metropolitan Police;

(iv)the Police Investigations and Review Commission (PIRC) in the case Police Scotland;

(V)the Office of the Police Ombudsman for Northern Ireland (OPONI) in the case of the Police Service of Northern Ireland;

(b)any complaint under Section 9 (1)(a) taking in excess of six months to complete.

(2)An offences under Section 9 (1)(a)(i) and Section 9 (1)(a)(ii) taking less than six months may still be an offence if;

(a)A GBH level injury or higher is caused by the officer;

(b)Any complaint is covered by any media. This excludes local force's 'News' page.
